کنترل مقدار و زمان آزاد شدن دارو در بدن با نانوتکنولوژی

محققان آمریکایی می گویند توانسته اند قدرت ذرات طلا در ابعاد نانو را مهار کنند و با آن روشی بهتر برای انتقال دارو به محل تحت درمان در بدن انسان ارائه دهند.
ذرات طلا در ابعاد نانو که اشکال متفاوت دارند، قادرند داروهای مختلف را در داخل بدن حمل کنند.
گروه محققان انستیتو تکنولوژی ماساچوست (MIT)، نتیجه تحقیقات خود را در نشریه "ای سی ان نانو" چاپ کرده و در این گزارش همچنین آورده است که با استفاده از این روش جدید داروها فقط در نقطه ای از بدن فعال می شوند که به نوعی بیماری (مثلا سرطان)، مبتلا شده است؛ با این روش همچنین می توان مقدار دارویی را که جذب بدن می شود، تحت کنترل داشت.
روش جدید بر این اساس پایه گذاری شده که هر ذره مختلف از طلا (در ابعاد نانو)، در سطح متفاوتی از نور مادون قرمز ذوب می شود و به همین دلیل داروهای متفاوت را می توان با ذرات متفاوت طلا در بدن آزاد کرد.
یکی از مزایای انتقال مستقیم دارو به نقطه ای خاص از بدن این است که پزشکان می توانند داروهایی که نسبتا مسمویت زا هستند را بدون واهمه از آسیب رساندن به سلول های سالم به محل تمرکز بیماری منتقل کنند.
در شماری از آزمایش ها نشان داده شده است که می توان از ذرات در ابعاد نانو، که گاه به کوچکی یک نانو متر یا یک میلیاردم متر است، برای انتقال مستقیم دارو به محل تومور استفاده و از عوارض جانبی که شیمی درمانی معمولا به همراه دارد، اجتناب کرد.
نور نزدیک به مادون قرمز به بدن تابیده می شود که پس از نفوذ از پوست به محل تومور می رسد. حرارت این نور وقتی به حد نصاب برسد ذرات طلا آب و دارو آزاد می شود.
